August Comte coined the term sociology. He established the idea of positivism that you can understand the world with your senses. argued that sense perceptions are the only valid source of knowledge.
Conflict Theory is an idea that society is based on conflict. The idea that we the people we aren't bonded we are in competition with one another.Karl Marx was German philosopher who coined the class conflict theory. He believed that capitalism was creating class conflict and social inequality between the bourgeoisie, who owned the means of production, (money, factories, natural resources, land), and the proletariat, who were the workers.
The sociological perspective is a quality of the mind that allows us to understand the relationship between our particular situation in life and what is happening at a social level. Its like someone in front of the television, they're not aware of whats reality and whats real.
Society is a group of people who shape their lives in aggregated and patterned ways that distinguish their group from other groups. People actively and collectively shape their lives, orgnizing their social interactions into a meaningful world. An example would be a classroom, the students and teachers come together to learn and teach. This class is just a small, ugly room, but students coming together to learn about something makes it meaningful. What we bring to this world is based on us...

Beginners mind is a sociological perceptive that means understanding the world in a new way and with no preconception. In this picture the little boy is viewing his surroundings and environment.
Sociological imagination is the ability to understand social issues from a sociological aspect instead of analyzing it from a personal view. This example shows the homeless lady using a sigb to get money. We don't have any idea or understand what these people are going through on a personal level.
